True Happiness

When this contest was first posted I was really excited and definitely intended to enter. Then I suddenly realized I wasn't sure what to draw AT ALL. There are so many things that I like, so many things that make me happy. While trying to come up with ideas to include in my image, it dawned on me that I wasn't thinking deep enough? I enjoy chocolate and cartoons, but are those things that make me happy in any sort of real sense? A lot of what we think makes us happy might just be fluff.

Things like the love and bonds you share with your family or friends make you happy. Achieving things you never thought you could. Getting up again when you've failed. Trying to improve yourself and at the same time accepting who you are. Having confidence. Working to continue growing as a person. These are the kinds of things that I think will bring people truer happiness and wholeness in their lives.

Your life and happiness are what you make of it. It's up to you and no one else can do it for you.



*Edit* Well I didn't even place as a semifinalist and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't very disappointed.
Despite that, thanks for all the kind comments from people who liked it. I appreciate it
